Ouroboros 03:13
Life is a circle Chasing it's tail Eternally Eternally Changing shape I am the snake Shedding my skin A new phase Something ends Something begins Feeling better now My bones are spreading out Setting it free Setting it free Moving forward With new purpose In older eyes Know that I've been Here before this In other lives I am a circle Chasing my tail Eventually Eventually Changing shape I am the snake Shedding my skin A new phase Something ends Something begins

Vision 03:28
Could you see it When it fell in your eye? Couldn't reach it When it hung in your sky Feel your way Feel your way in When you don't have vision When you don't have vision Feel your way Feel your way in When you don't have vision When you don't have vision Did you taste it When it hit your tongue? Did you save it Or did you Swallow it down? Feel your way Feel your way in When you don't have vision When you don't have vision Feel your way Feel your way in When you don't have vision When you don't have vision Would you know it If it hit you? Would you know it If it hit you? Would you know it If it hit you? Keep em open Listen Keep em open Don't let it miss you Keep em open Listen Keep em open Don't let it miss you Feel your way Feel your way Feel your way Feel your way

The world used to be an oyster for me I could drink off a dollar or a dime And I never thought I'd amount to much Til I came into some land It was handed to me Given free By a stranger who said he was my pa Now some people come More often they go So I set up this local's bar But now I'm down in the valley Where I can't pay the rent And the city won't let me sleep Yeah I've wandered away But I know I'll come back To those faces and names Debts must be paid Time runs away in this place I've been singing in this shack for a couple of years The owner 'fesses to a number of misdemeanors But now he's down in the valley Where he can't pay the rent And the city won't let him be Yeah he's wandered away But I know he'll come back to us Faces and names Debts must be paid Time runs away in this place So long I sing To the roses, To the roses Buried memory He'll miss the dinner this eve We'll all be merry Thinking of his face Someday this pub will be paved Paved over his grave And he'll be down in the valley Where he can't pay the rent And the city won't let him sleep Yeah he's wandered away But I know he comes back to us Faces and names Some things never change Time runs away in this place

The Crowd 03:08
I lost you Back there Somewhere I turned around You were Gone Gone Gone Gone I've been Waiting For you To come out Of the crowd Come out Come out Come out Come out But it's Getting late They've all gone home And I'm here Alone Alone Alone Alone Thought you'd always be around Thought you'd always be around Thought you'd always be around Thought you'd always be around I lost you Back there Somewhere

Outside my room Is a lonely world In a quiet neighborhood With curtains drawn And the radio on I can almost be myself I keep my head in the grass Knock on the door Scratch on the window Nobody's getting in Litter the yard With invitations I can hear them singing I keep my head in the grass Cus I'm afraid of what's out there I'm getting out of the house I have dreams of it I'm afraid of the world Cus every time I open the door I can feel them closer Their yellow eyes on me The wind howling I can feel their breath Run down the back of my neck And I can taste Death Snappin me like a twig That's why I stay in the house That's why I never leave That's why I keep the doors locked I know they're coming for me I keep my head in the grass

Bergamot 03:04
Wake from winter dreaming Of a simple life With you by my side We have everything we need Want for nothing And on our pillow Bergamot I can feel the sunrise Coming up in your eyes You have what I need When I start to feel the moonlight Pressing against my mind Cover me in Bergamot Wake from winter dreaming In my simple life You are at my side As I hold you while you're sleeping You have everything I needed My sweet bergamot

I'm a stranger here Nobody knows me Or what I've done If I go back now I lose it all Turn in my tail and run We carve out our own love If I built a ship Anywhere I could take it To the wide open seas And with fair weather And stars to guide Wind in our sails We'd carve out our own world Water water all around Do you ever go out? Do you know who you are down here? It's a matter of sand It's the grit and the friction man Takes the weight of an ocean At the bottom of a dangerous world To make a pearl To make a pearl To make a pearl To make a pearl So here at the end At the end of this old blue world At the edge of the map There's no going back We've been here before Stood at these doors What are we waiting for? We carve out our own lives

It's moving through me My identity Dissolving My sense of reality Pooling at my feet And isn't it soothing To loosen my grip On anything Letting it slip Through me My body like a cave It's settling in Rattling My sense of what's me Shaking at the knees Isn't it soothing To lose your grip On everything Letting it slip Through you Your body like a cave And isn't it soothing To lose my grip On everything Letting it slip Through me My body like a cave

Two Kids 02:57
My baby don't know Where to go To be alone We live on the run Things fall apart sometimes I'm reaching out To say that it's all right When our house is a mess Dishes are falling on the floor Go back to bed I can take care of it Lay my baby down Don't be afraid Dirt piles up but the damage is done Pick up the shards With my bare fingers bleeding My baby sees right through me But I don't mind Cus I want her to know What I'm thinking Even when I'm not there Even when she sleeps She's with me Even when it all goes to hell at once Our house is a mess Dishes are falling on the floor Go back to bed I can take care of it Lay my baby down Don't be afraid Dirt piles up but the damage is done Pick up the shards With my bare fingers bleeding Our truck is on fire Tank dried up and it's too late to save it Anyways I still want to take you places Baby we can make it Two kids on the run

Ant Song 04:06
Replace One thing for another We'll make The most of it Embrace us all Like a mother We'll take What we can get Do you see us crawling in the dirt? Do you see us wondering? Do you see us hanging from the sky Looking for answers we'll never find and All I want to know Are you enjoying the show? All I want to know Are you enjoying the show? We'll build Another altar We'll fill it With offerings Lord over us Like a father We'll fight For your attention Do you see us crawling in the dirt? Do you see us wondering? Do you see us hanging from the sky Looking for answers we'll never find and All I want to know Are you enjoying the show? All I want to know Are you enjoying the show?

Heavy Lines 04:03
So it goes All of us Growing old And then we're gone But I won't go out like that No I won't go out like that No I won't give up without a Fight Fight Fight Heavy lines On our faces Losing form as it takes us But I won't go down so fast No I won't go down so fast No I won't let go without a Fight Fight Fight What are we? Bones and meat What will there be left of me? What are we? Energy What will be the end of me? So it goes Skin and bones And then we're gone

How does this work What do I say To the machine today Hey This is me I'm supposed to be Leaving a message I believe you Are going insane How does this work What do I say When everything's coded these days And all of the words that I sent you Get erased I wish I could change your mind I believe you Are going insane Put your good shoes on Head out the window It's time to go I can't go with you When we were young We knew the tall ones We lived in their caves And they taught us The names of things Now we're older And we're all the same I miss the easier days I miss the easier days I miss the easier days I miss the easier days I believe you are going insane I hope you come back someday

about

12 original songs by Aunt Vicki.

The two songwriters Erin Campbell and Lee Dyer uprooted themselves from Northern Michigan, moved into a camper and headed to New Orleans. Some of these songs were written and or partially recorded in the camper they lived in. Some on the road, but mostly in New Orleans.

It's a moody atmospheric album balanced by the vast differences in the two songwriters and the central thread of their voices.

about

Aunt Vicki Asheville, North Carolina

Based out of Asheville, NC

Aunt Vicki is a vintage suit, a little rough around the edges, but still the one you end up wearing to the party.

Good old fashion indie rock music.

Short songs sung by average sized people with guitars, bell bottoms, and nice shoes.

Sometimes there's a trumpet.
